Feel free to use the below samples, but also add a personal statement at the top of the message when you post, especially if you have a mentally ill family members.

Federally funded mental health organizations and agencies that prefer to provide yoga and line dancing classes while ignoring the medical needs of the seriously mentally ill are making a concerted effort to maintain the status quo in America’s broken mental health care system. Hold them accountable for the way they are spending our 130 billion tax dollars per year. These funds should be providing treatment for the seriously mentally ill to reduce homelessness, incarceration, and death. It is time to prioritize and serve the medical needs of the sickest. Bring #HR2646 to a vote!

SAMHSA and the organizations it funds have dropped the ball in serving the treatment needs of the seriously mentally ill. But in a mad effort to protect their jobs, these federally funded agencies and organizations are rallying people to make calls for them by distorting truths and making up lies to convince the average consumer the men in brown coats are coming for them. But the families of the seriously mentally ill know that the most powerful thing to say is "this would have helped my daughter or son." The truth is in the endless preventable tragedies that result from lack of treatment for those with the most severe brain diseases. Listen to the voices of the families who speak for the voiceless homeless, incarcerated, and dead. Support #HR2646 and all of its provisions and bring it to a vote now!

The SAMHSA lobby, by maintaining the status quo, ensures sick people will keep going to jails and prisons. Stop listening to this agency and the organizations it’s funding. They do not care about the seriously mentally ill they are supposed to be serving. Support HR2646, the Helping Families in Mental Health Crisis Act, and BRING IT TO A VOTE.
